It's So Hard To Say Goodbye...

To our beloved PanFandom community:

It is with great sadness that we must announce the end of PanFandom. It was a decision we wrestled with for some time, but the truth is, with our busy and complicated real lives, it became increasingly obvious that we would no longer be able to dedicate the large amounts of time and energy that a site as comprehensive as PF requires and deserves. Gathering nearly 1200 regular users and thousands of unregistered visitors a day in less than a year, the site and its adjacent community was almost TOO successful, seeing as we wanted to run this as a by-fans, for-fans fansite, but instead it grew so fast in such a short time that it became kind of a full time job.

We'd like to thank Kevin at our wonderful web host, GleemHost.com, for his incredible support and technical expertise, without which we could never have launched this site.

We'd also like to express our undying gratitude to our fantastic staff of writers and moderators, whose incredible talent, devotion and support has been a pure joy to behold, and which helped us get this project off the ground in the first place and sustained us during these stressful months. Your unique voices have moved us and made us laugh out loud, and we're extremely proud to have had the chance to work with all of you.

And, of course, we are eternally grateful to you, our users, for coming aboard and giving our little project a chance to add its voice to fandom. We will always cherish the new friends we've made, and hope to continue to share this crazy fandom life with all of you.

We hope you're all still having a good time, wherever you are!
